The Rosendale is blessed with outside space.
The landscaped Summer Garden is open from spring until autumn and houses the all-important Kids’ Play Area as well as the newly refurnished Patio. The Side Garden comes complete with an all-weather table tennis, table football and a boules pit whilst the Front Garden, which is open all year round, offers plenty of space to sit back and enjoy a pint or bite to eat with friends. In the winter, our rear garden is covered and our heaters provide a warm hug if you still wish to enjoy the great outdoors.

This pub’s huge beer garden stretches around the side of the pub and features loads of umbrella-covered wooden tables. If you’re in the West Dulwich area, The Rosendale is certainly worth a visit in the summer.

THE SUMMER GARDEN
Our Summer Garden has just undergone a magnificent makeover. It is a secluded and beautiful space to the rear of the pub perfect for long lunches and particularly good for families.
There is a raised patio area, a dining area as well as a Kids’ Play Area complete with full-size climbing frame and slide as well as ride-on toys. Please note the roof will be removed at the beginning of April.
THE PATIO
Our new patio is a stunning sun trap ideal for making most of the British weather. Seating is on a first come first served basis unless you are hosting a large party. We are happy to accommodate group reservations for up to 50 people standing or 30 seated. Minimum spends do apply.
KIDS’ PLAY AREA
We know that if your kids are happy you are happy too. Our Kid’s Play Area, which is easily viewable from most tables, has a climbing frame, slide and ride-on toys, ideal for keeping the little ones entertained as you finish your meal. We also have a pram parking pit stop and easily accessible baby changing facilities should they be required.
THE FRONT GARDEN
Recently refurbished and looking particularly lovely, the Front Garden is home to two feasting tables with larch log benches. Each table seats up to 20 people and can be booked in advance.
Individual areas of elevated seating for drinkers and low banquettes for diners are also dotted throughout the expansive space, surrounded by bay and cypress trees, white lavender, mint and thyme. On warm, dry days, the new outdoor rotisserie and bar is open, serving delicious food and locally-brewed ales. Grab a pint, pull up a chair and tuck in.

SIDE GARDEN
Our Side Garden is a pretty ideal beer garden. Huge umbrellas maintain its appeal whatever the weather and its generous size means there’s often a lively local feel as we make the most of whatever sunshine we’re granted.
All-weather table tennis, table football and the boules pit create a fun, relaxed atmosphere for grown-ups – well away from the kids’ play area. Blankets and heaters add a layer of comfort for smokers and hardier outdoor enthusiasts in the winter.
If you’d like to host an al fresco party, the Side Garden is available for private hire for 25 people seated and up to 100 people standing.
